Inspections

Safety, function and value retention in focus

Textile structures are highly sophisticated constructions whose quality often hinges on the details. Through expert inspections, we create transparency regarding the condition of membranes, fastenings, and structural details – providing a basis for informed decisions.

A professional inspection is not about producing reports that then disappear into folders. What is crucial is a sound understanding of material behavior and the underlying mechanical relationships. Only in this way can the condition of a structure be realistically assessed and a reliable evaluation be made.

Our inspections are therefore carried out by experienced specialists who possess both in-depth material knowledge and practical experience in handling membrane and cable systems. The use of trained rope access technicians allows us to safely and efficiently reach even difficult-to-access areas – and to inspect where others can't even look.

Scope of services

1. Visual condition inspection
  • Inspection of the membrane surfaces for damage, wear and contamination

  • Inspection of seams, welds and transitions

  • Detection of cracks, perforations or material fatigue

2. Examination of the design details
  • Checking the edge connections and connection details

  • Inspection of fastening points and clamping structures

  • Visual inspection of the substructure (e.g. steel, cables, nodes)

3. Assessment of load-bearing and system behavior
  • Assessment of deformations and sag

  • Assessment of the prestress of the membrane surfaces

  • Evaluation of the overall system with regard to load transfer and function

4. Analysis of damage patterns
  • Root cause analysis of identified damage

  • Differentiation between age-related wear and tear and design problems

  • Assessment of damage development and potential risks

5. Inspection of hard-to-reach areas
  • Conducting inspections using rope access techniques

  • Access to high or complex structures without scaffolding

  • Examination of areas that are difficult to reach using conventional methods.

6. Documentation and evaluation
  • Photographic documentation of all relevant areas

  • Structured recording of identified defects

  • Condition assessment of the structure

7. Recommendations for action
  • Specific recommendations for repair or maintenance

  • Prioritization of measures (short-, medium- and long-term)

  • Support in decision-making for the operator

Your advantage of a professional inspection

  • Detect damage early – before it becomes a problem

  • Reduce costs through timely intervention

  • Making decisions based on technical assessment

  • Understand the design holistically – don't just examine it superficially.

  • Access to all relevant areas – even without scaffolding

  • Clear measures instead of unclear status reports
